The Ultimate PC Building Guide

Building A PC in 2023?

This is the only Guide you'll need!

Welcome to a step-by-step guide containing everything you'll need to know to pick the components for your first Gaming PC.

During this guide, you'll learn about the parts that are needed to make a smooth-running gaming machine. This can be a daunting task at first, but I can assure you it's not nearly as hard as you might think. So, strap in, and let's get started.

First things first you're going to need to decide on a budget. It's very important that you do this sooner rather than later as you may find yourself spending a lot more money than you intended if you haven't set yourself a budget in the beginning. These days you can build a gaming PC for as little as €500. That’s the same price as a gaming console while getting substantially better performance.  Once you’ve decided on your budget, we can get into acquiring the parts necessary to start building.

First, you’ll need to acquire the parts needed in order to build the PC.

When picking your parts, do a bit of research into the part you’re considering before buying it. Make sure it suits the style of game you plan on playing. You don’t want to be disappointed when you realize your GPU can’t run your favorite game.

The Parts you’ll need are:

·       - Central Processing Unit (CPU)

·       - Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)

·       - Memory (RAM)

·       - Motherboard

·       - Power Supply Unit (PSU)

·       - PC Case

·       - CPU Fan (Some CPUs will come shipped with these but they’re usually not that good so it’s better to buy one yourself)

·       - Storage (HDD/SSD)

YOU WILL ALSO NEED PERIPHERALS SUCH AS A KEYBOARD, MOUSE, AND MONITOR, BUT THIS GUIDE IS STRICTLY FOR THE PC ITSELF

It’s always good practice to check the compatibility of your parts before you purchase them as some parts may not be compatible with other parts of your build. There are multiple websites that allow you to check part compatibility of parts, such as buildmypc.net and pcpartpicker.com
